This was discussed at the panel session at the 25th international exhibition of YUGAGRO, which was attended by the Vice-Governor, Andrey Korobka.

As Andrey Korobka noted, Kuban today is a leader among Russian regions not only in the production of agricultural products, but also in its exports. Thus, the share of the region in Russian exports of the agricultural complex is about 10%.

- This year, the volume of shipments of agricultural products to the foreign market from our region grew by 36%, or to 1.6 billion dollars. In particular, grain exports grew by 28% and amounted to 7.4 million tons. In addition, exports of vegetable oil and vegetables – peas and chickpeas – increased by 23%, - the Vice-Governor emphasized.

The Deputy Head of the Region noted that the task set by the President of the Russian Federation to the region to achieve an export volume of 2.8 billion dollars can be actually accomplished in five years.

It should be recalled that in the total export volume of the region, the share of agricultural products accounts for about 30%. 135 countries of near and far abroad are among the exporters of agricultural products of the region. Currently, about 150 types of agricultural products are exported. They include sugar, flour, rice, grain, sausages, cheeses and butter, meat, canned milk, fruits and vegetables, vegetable oil, pasta and confectionery, starch, mineral water, wine and ice cream. A significant share of Kuban manufacturers’ products is present in imports of the CIS, Middle East and Central Asia countries.
