An agreement was reached in Shanghai on the supply of Kuban wine and agricultural products to China

A delegation from the Krasnodar region, headed by Vice-Governor Alexander Ruppel, is currently taking part in an international food exhibition in the People's Republic of China.

Kuban companies agreed to trial deliveries of Kuban products during the first days of the FHC CHINA exhibition. The Krasnodar region delegation had several meetings with representatives of business circles and specialized associations in the People's Republic of China.

«The region aims to stimulate the growth of foreign trade and attract foreign investment from China. which has a vast market, a modern industrial system, and a highly competitive supply chain. During business meetings with government officials and business communities, we presented the trade, economic, and investment potential of Kuban, discussed the development of cooperation in different spheres, and issues of further promotion of the region in the Middle Kingdom,» said Alexander Ruppel.

Kuban businessmen learned the specifics of doing business and key issues of export development to China. The participants also explored potential avenues for future collaboration, including the possibility of mutual visits by business delegations, the exchange of information regarding suppliers of products and the needs of companies from China, and the localization of production in the Krasnodar region.

«Chinese businessmen are interested in importing vegetable oil, agricultural crops, confectionery, snack products, meat by-products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from Kuban. That's why we brought food manufacturers and agricultural companies here. We have already seen positive results from our participation in the exhibition, including an agreement on the supply of flax and a trial batch of wine to China, which we expect to be shipped by the end of the month. It is planned to ship the first 15,000 bottles by the end of the month. We are interested in exploring opportunities to place our company's wine products in the Chinese marketplace. Moreover, the potential for purchasing millet from one of the Kuban companies is being discussed," said Roman Vorotnikov, Director of the Export Support Center of the Krasnodar region.

Kuban products are showcased in the demonstration and tasting pavilion.

The International Food and Processing Technology Exhibition FHC Shanghai Global Food Trade Show (FHC CHINA) is taking place from November 12th to 14th.
