Krasnodar region set for 5 per cent growth in wine production in 2024

Andrei Korobka, the Deputy Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, shared his plans to boost wine production in the region at the Russian Wine Forum. The event started today in Moscow.

As Andrei Korobka highlighted, the grape harvest in Kuban was over.

«This season, we picked 235.5 thousand tons of grapes. Weather conditions impacted many vineyards. At the same time, the quality of the grapes is at a decent level, with high sugar levels,» said Andrei Korobka.

By the end of 2024, the Krasnodar Territory predicts a 5 per cent increase in wine production, reaching 23.7 million decaliters. Since the beginning of the year, 17 million decaliters of still and sparkling wines have already been produced.
