The Governor presented the region’s potential, spoke about its remarkable achievements and further development.

Welcoming visitors to the Krasnodar Territory’s booth, Veniamin Kondratyev noted that the exhibition is an opportunity to highlight the region’s achievements, and the Kuban, with its population of six million people, has much to be proud of.

«Our region is known as the main granary and health resort of Russia. This year, we have harvested a significant grain crop of 14.3 million tons and still, we are on guard of the country’s food security. We have welcomed 18 million tourists, which is a historical record. Now Kuban is also rightfully considered the forge of the South of Russia. Six industrial parks, a regional Industrial Development Fund with a volume of 6 billion rubles are operating. This enables us to build advanced manufacturing facilities and create new jobs,» said Veniamin Kondratyev.

The head of the region emphasized that new motorways are being built in the region thanks to the state support. The Far Western Bypass of Krasnodar, the Anapa Bypass, and a section of the M-4 Don motorway near Gelendzhik have already been completed. Works are now underway on a new road that will connect the Far Western Bypass and the Crimean Bridge. Funds have been allocated for the construction of the Adler bypass and an interchange on the motorway between Novorossiysk and Anapa.

«Another important development indicator is a favorable investment climate, which is one of the best in the country. We are currently implementing 500 major investment projects worth 2.8 trillion rubles. And this is also our historical record and a great potential in industry, agriculture, winemaking,» the Governor said.

Veniamin Kondratyev emphasized that the personal support of the President of the Russian Federation helped to pass the law on winemaking. Kuban wine has turned into a fashion now. Over the last six years, more than 1.5 billion bottles of wine and champagne have been produced.

The Governor stressed that the region’s economy has proved its resilience to challenges. Over 6 years, the GRP has grown from 2.4 to 3.9 trillion rubles. Budget revenues increased from 250 to 490 billion rubles. Moreover, over the last 5 years, more than 260 billion rubles have been allocated for the implementation of the Russian National Projects.
